Event: Back to School Event 2025

United Voices for Global Impact (UVGI), in partnership with Joyland Organization, is proud to have hosted a successful Back-to-School Community Event and health fair on August 23, 2025, in Houston, TX.
This collaborative effort brought together children, families, educators, community leaders, and volunteers with one mission: to ensure children begin the school year with the resources, confidence, and joy they deserve.
Our Impact at a Glance:
- Distributed hundreds of free school supply kits to children in need
- Provided nutritious meals and snacks to families
- Created a space filled with fun, learning, and laughter through activities and games
- Shared encouragement and support from community leaders and volunteers
- Provided free health screening.
For many children, this event meant more than receiving supplies—it meant starting school with the tools to succeed, the confidence to learn, and the joy of knowing their community believes in them.
Dr. Hala Ghoson, Founder and President of UVGI, reflected:
