EVENT: The 69th Commission on the Status of Women Parallel Event

UVGI participated in a panel dialogue at a parallel event titled “Women and Health: Beijing+30 Achievements, Gaps, Challenges, Solutions” and spoke on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in women’s health  This pivotal event was held alongside the broader CSW69 Beijing+30 Review, a global reflection on the progress made in advancing women’s rights and gender equality since the historic Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action of 1995.

AI is revolutionizing healthcare by enhancing diagnostics, treatment approaches, and personalized medicine. Artificial Intelligence offers unprecedented opportunities to advance women’s health, however, despite its vast potential, AI also presents challenges and risks that must be addressed to ensure equitable healthcare outcomes. Gender biases embedded in AI-driven healthcare solutions. If designed and implemented equitably, AI has the power to improve accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency in women’s healthcare worldwide.

The session served as a call to action for policymakers, researchers, and healthcare leaders. Attendees gained insights into AI’s current applications in women’s health, the gaps that need urgent attention, and strategies for leveraging technology to promote gender equity in healthcare.
