Event: Women Economic Forum Ecuador 2025
Date: 11-13 September, 2025
Location: Cuenca, Ecuador

The Women Economic Forum (WEF) is one of the most influential global platforms for women’s empowerment, leadership, and collaboration and the forum fosters dialogue and alliances across continents.

From 11–13 September 2025, Ecuador proudly hosted the fifth edition of WEF Ecuador in the city of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cultural capital of Ecuador. WEF Ecuador 2025 brought together national and international leaders—including business executives, academics, Nobel laureates, and changemakers—for a three-day program that blends leadership, innovation, and culture.

Event Highlights

  • 11 September: Central forum with keynote addresses and global speaker interventions.
  • 12 September: Business mission and the prestigious WEF Awards Gala.
  • 13 September: Cultural immersion in Cuenca to deepen connections and shared experiences.

WEF Ecuador stands out as more than a forum: it is a multi-sectoral platform that promotes transformative dialogue, innovative strategies, and sustainable development. Its commitment to inclusion ensures broader participation, with over 100 full scholarships awarded to women leaders from diverse backgrounds.

Over the years, WEF Ecuador has become a regional and global reference point for women’s leadership and cooperation. Previous editions (2021–2024) have:

  • Brought together leaders from over 25 countries, with up to 600 in-person attendees and 31,000 virtual participants.
  • Featured world-renowned speakers
  • Generated millions of dollars in regional impact, hundreds of media features, and strategic alliances with governments, universities, and international organizations.
  • Awarded scholarships, recognitions, and honors to outstanding leaders, companies, and institutions driving equity and innovation.

We are proud to share that United Voices for Global Impact (UVGI) played a distinguished role at WEF Ecuador 2025. Dr. Hala Ghoson, Founder and President of UVGI, has been invited as a high-impact speaker, where she participated in a panel discussion and shared her expertise on human trafficking prevention. In recognition of her leadership and commitment to equality, Dr. Ghoson has also been nominated for a prestigious award at the WEF Awards Gala, honoring her outstanding contributions and global impact.

Through this participation, UVGI continues to strengthen its mission of empowering underserved communities, amplifying women’s voices, and building international alliances for peace, equity, and sustainable growth.
