Event: International Conference on Science, Knowledge, and Technology
Date: 27-28 July 2024
Host City: Dubai
UVGI was thrilled to participate in the International Conference on Science, Knowledge, and Technology to promote awareness of health and well-being with a specific focus on preventive care. The conference was held in Dubai and attracted a diverse group of attendees (academics, researchers, professors, physicians) from across the Middle East, including UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
Preventive care is fundamental to achieving and maintaining good health. It encompasses measures taken to prevent diseases before they occur, rather than treating them after they have manifested. This approach includes vaccinations, regular health screenings, lifestyle education, and early detection of health issues. By focusing on prevention, we can reduce the incidence of chronic diseases, lower healthcare costs, and improve quality of life.
At United Voices For Global Impact (UVGI), our mission is to promote health and overall well-being through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Our commitment to health education transcends geographical boundaries, as evidenced by our recent participation in the International Conference on Science, Knowledge, and Technology in Dubai. There, we highlighted the critical importance of preventive care for overall health, underscoring our dedication to proactive health strategies.
During the conference, our president and CEO engaged in a moderated discussion, stressing the long-term benefits of preventive care. These benefits include reduced healthcare expenditures, as preventing illness is often more cost-effective than treating it. Moreover, preventive care leads to better health outcomes, as early intervention can significantly mitigate the severity of potential health issues.
Raising awareness about preventive care empowers individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed health decisions. This proactive approach is essential for improving global health and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-being. By advocating for preventive care, UVGI aims to foster healthier communities, reduce the burden of disease, and contribute to sustainable health improvements worldwide.
Our mission at UVGI is to advance these goals through health education, community outreach, and collaboration with global health partners. We believe that by emphasizing preventive care, we can make a significant impact on public health, ensuring that individuals lead healthier, more productive lives.
