Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Zomba District, Malawi

Overview

United Voices for Global Impact (UVGI) Malawi successfully conducted a series of capacity-building trainings benefiting over 20 women from Ntima and Nkalapa villages in Zomba District, Malawi.

The initiative aimed to strengthen women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurial capacity, and community well-being.

Key Objectives

The training focused on equipping women with practical knowledge and skills to manage and grow small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through:

  • Strategic planning and goal achievement
  • Financial decision-making and budgeting
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills

Training Facilitators

The sessions were co-facilitated by experienced Government Officers from the Departments of Trade and Community Development at Zomba District Council, bringing practical expertise from similar trainings across Malawi.
