Geneva, Switzerland | June-July 2026
In June 2026, UVGI participated in the 62nd Regular Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC62) at United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, represented by Dr. Hala Ghoson, Founder and President of UVGI.
Participation in the Human Rights Council provided UVGI with an opportunity to engage with the international human rights community, follow global discussions, and deepen its understanding of emerging priorities and challenges affecting communities around the world.
As an organization committed to advancing human rights, equality, health, education, women’s and girls’ empowerment, and sustainable development, UVGI recognizes the importance of connecting local action with global advocacy and international policy discussions.
During the session, Dr. Ghoson followed discussions addressing key human rights priorities and engaged with the broader international community, strengthening UVGI’s connection to global platforms where issues affecting vulnerable and underserved populations are discussed.
Our participation in HRC62 reflects the organization’s continued commitment to advocacy, meaningful international engagement, and amplifying the voices and priorities of communities that are often underrepresented in global decision-making spaces.
Through participation in international forums such as the United Nations Human Rights Council, UVGI continues to build knowledge, strengthen connections, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable global community.
