Event: Commission on the Status of Women CSW70
Date: 09-19 March, 2026
Location: UN Headquarters, New York
United Voices for Global Impact (UVGI) participates in the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) in New York City through both parallel and virtual events.
The 70th annual Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), taking place from 9 to 19 March at the UN Headquarters in New York, is the UN’s largest annual gathering on gender equality and women’s rights.
Priority theme: Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and addressing structural barriers.
UVGI was honored to contribute to the global dialogue on gender equality and participate in a parallel event “Women-lead water leadership from grassroots to global water governance.” This important dialogue brings together global voices to highlight the critical role of women’s leadership in water governance—from grassroots community action to global policy discussions. The event also contributes to the broader conversations taking place during CSW70 and leading up to World Water Day 2026.
UVGI is also pleased to participate in an important dialogue at CSW70, standing alongside global partners to highlight the vital role of women in the discussion titled “Widowhood, Women’s Resilience, and Financial Empowerment.” This event will explore the strength, resilience, and economic empowerment of widowed women while amplifying voices and solutions that promote dignity, inclusion, and opportunity.
